Future Darwin Award Recipient of the Day: A Gainesville, Florida woman who thought it was a good idea to wake her boyfriend up with fireworks found out it wasnt when the novelty item exploded in her hand.
The blast blew off the 36-year-olds thumb, middle and ring fingers, and embedded bone fragments in the ceiling.
According to the Gainesville Police Department, the woman and her sleepy beau were drinking prior to the rude awakening, though, according to the boyfriend, his girlfriends behavior was out of character.
