University of Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham was a recent guest on "The Jim Rome Show," bringing more exposure to the football program.

Here are some of the highlights of the interview:

— In going from the Mountain West Conference to the Pac-12: "Everybody's a little bit bigger, little faster, a little stronger."

He also added that Pac-12 teams have a lot more depth on their rosters.

— How has the move helped in recruiting: "We're able to virtually get into any door in the country of players we want to try to recruit and that hasn't always been the case."

— Utah has had aspirations of joining the Pac-10, now Pac-12, for the last 25 years.

— The Utes had back-to-back losses to TCU and Notre Dame, and he said the Utes played probably their poorest game of the season at Notre Dame in losing 28-3 just one week after losing 47-7 to to the Horned Frogs. He did, however, give Notre Dame a lot of credit for the win.
