PROVO, UT (August 16, 2007)--Thursday's practice appeared to begin like every other Fall Camp workout. After going through a 10-minute warm-up period, head coach Bronco Mendenhall called the group together. He jokingly informed them he had made a mistake on his daily schedule.
Mendenhall informed the team they would have the morning off to participate in a team activity that included watching a movie in the team room.
"Today I was ready and focused, so it caught me off guard," running back Fui Vakapuna said. "I'm sure it's a big help to the guys with bumps and bruises so they can get healed up. Everything we do is to help the team and we are always doing team activities, so I know this will help us."
The Cougars will practice Friday when they resume two-a-days. The morning practice is open to the public.
Earlier in the day, Mendenhall announced senior safety David Tafuna suffered a season-ending foot injury during Wednesday's practice. It is anticipated Corby Hodgkiss will replace Tafuna in the secondary.
