This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

The outdoor industry in Utah is huge. It draws thousands of tourists each year. In fact, travelers spent $6.2 billion in 2009, and Utah national parks received 22.7 million visitors per day.

There's no shortage of places to visit in Utah including the Navajo Lake Lodge in southern Utah just 26 miles from Cedar City. This is one of the original fishing lodges in the United States. Dr. Aiken, the only doctor in three counties at the time, started the lodge in the Dixie National Forest in 1927.

This beautiful lake hosts a variety of fish like rainbow, German, brooke and splake trout. Owners Barry and Joyce Reisig told me 90 percent of the people who visit Navajo Lake Lodge come for the fishing. But there's also wonderful bike trails.

The property has 11 rental cabins and three help cabins. These cabins are very rustic with outside cooking areas for barbecues and are complete with a kitchenette and bathroom. This place is beautiful, and the drive up through Dixie National Forest is stunning!

Navajo Lake Lodge's season goes from May 15 to Oct. 15. This is because the high altitude makes it virtually impossible to stay past October or open before May. In fact, they have to board up the windows so the snow doesn't break through the windows and doors. Even though the season hasn't started, Barry and Joyce are currently taking reservations, and spots fill up quickly. If you're interested in experiencing this gorgeous lake for yourself, you should call soon.

With staycations being so popular, it's no wonder this well-kept secret is booking up. Not only is the pricing reasonable, starting at $70 per night for cabins and $75 per day for boats, but it's truly an opportunity to get away, with no cell phone coverage, no TV and no power so you can see the stars at night. It's possible the Navajo Lake Lodge could become your new destination spot.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
