PERTH, Australia -- One day after a thrilling, last-second victory over the Perth Wildcats, the University of Utah men's basketball team dropped a 25-point decision to the same club Saturday. The Runnin' Utes trailed by just two at halftime, but had too many turnovers in a 103-78 loss.

Ute junior center Luke Nevill played well in his hometown, scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. But he didn't have much help. Stephen Weigh scored 16 points, after tallying 32 in the first contest with Perth. Lawrence Borha came off the bench to score 13 and Johnnie Bryant added 11.

Utah had a 12-rebound edge on the boards. But the Wildcats were on target from outside, hitting 15-of-34 from three-point range. Perth also shot 50 percent from the field for the contest.

Ben Hunt hit six-of-seven from behind the arc for the Wildcats in the second half alone. Former Arizona State forward Shawn Redhage led Perth with 27 points.

Utah is off Monday, traveling back to Sydney. The Utes will play three games in three nights in Australia's largest city.
