Sarajevo (dpa) - An exhibition of more than 30 paintings and graphics by pop-art icon Andy Warhol opened Tuesday in Sarajevo, as part of the 22nd international Sarajevo Winter culture festival.
The first Warhol exhibition in Sarajevo was facilitated by the Slovak government and includes some of the artist's famous portraits including those of Kimiko, Goethe or Ingrid Bergman.
"This exhibition brings a real light to this city," director of the 22nd Sarajevo Winter, Ibrahim Spahic, said at the opening.
The works of Slovak post pop-art artists Daniel Brogyanyi and Dan Meluzin have also been exhibited alongside Warhol's paintings.
This year's festival also features 22 concerts by performers from 20 countries.
