Copenhagen (dpa) - A bomb threat forced journalists and other employees at the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten to leave their offices Tuesday.
Police cleared the newspaper's main offices in Aarhus as well as it's editorial offices in the capital, Copenhagen. Sniffer dogs were to search the premises. The anonymous tip was made around 1600 GMT.
Jyllands-Posten has angered Muslims after publishing caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed, viewed as offensive by many Muslims, last September.
The publication has in recent days triggered a boycott of Danish products.
The chief editor of the Jyllands-Posten newspaper Carsten Juste late monday apologized for publishing the caricatures saying they "were not intended to be offensive, nor were they at variance with Danish law, but they have indisputably offended many Muslims, for which we apologize."
