WEST VALLEY CITY - Rocky Mountain Raceways, an ASA member track in West Valley City, Utah, is kicking off their 15th season of racing this Saturday, April 30 with the ASA Weekly Racing Series and West Valley City Night.
In appreciation of West Valley City residents, Rocky Mountain Raceways will be offering 2-for-1 spectator admission with a valid West Valley City ID. Singers from the West Valley Hale Centre Theatre will sing the National Anthem and West Valley City Mayor, Mike Winder, is scheduled to drop the checkered flag on the nights' first race.
Maverik Modifieds, USAC Young Automotive Group Sprints, Super Stocks, Hornets, Figure 8 Cars and Western States Equipment Figure-8 Trains will hit the America First Credit Union Super Oval for the first race of the season. Gates open at 4:00 pm, qualifying begins at 4:45 pm and racing begins at 6:00 pm. Adult admission is $15.00 and youth admission (5-12) is $5.00.
Rocky Mountain Raceways' Season Opener will also include a sponsor party thanking the 2011 sponsors for their contributions to Rocky Mountain Raceways and the racing community in Utah.
