If, like me, you grew up playing Mad Scientist by creating various frozen-drink Frankensteins with the Slurpee machine at 7-Eleven, then this news might be of interest. Starting this June, the mini-mart chain will introduce a dual-chambered Slurpee cup that keeps the two flavors of your slushy beverage separate until they converge in a special straw. The photo shown here is pretty self-explanatory. We're thinking of other beverages to which this cup/straw combo could be applied. Perhaps you could put a milkshake in one side and some soda in the other. We're sure there are alcoholic drinks that could benefit from this, but we certainly couldn't advocate filling up one chamber with tonic and ice and the other with gin... could we?
