(KSL News) -- A procedure used to treat snoring might soon help sleep apnea patients. It's called a "pillar."
Doctors insert three tiny fibers into the soft palate. Scar tissue builds in the back of the throat, making it less likely to collapse during sleep.
The Mayo clinic found 81-percent of patients saw a decrease in their sleep apnea. Sixty-one-percent of those were cured.
