Multi-national accounting network RSM International has appointed its first female chief executive.
Jean Stephens will take up the role at the beginning of next year, running for five years. Formerly chief operating officer, she will spend her time trying to increase the network's penetration into growing organisations and to expand geographically.
Before joining RSM in London, Stephens, a certified public accountant, has served as senior manager in audit at McGladrey & Pullen and managing director in RSM McGladrey's in Los Angeles.
RSM's network partner in the UK is Robson Rhodes, the UK's eleventh largest firm with turnover of £85.5m.
