(KSL News) -- A group of environmentalists say they have pictures of what may be a new species of carnivore on Borneo Island.

If it's confirmed, the animal , which apparently has dark red fur and a long bushy tail, would be the first new carnivore species to be discovered on the island since 18- 95.
The animal has been captured on film twice and is believed to be the size of a cat with long hind legs and a tail.
