SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 11 (AFP) - A mother suspected of going online to sell kinky sex that included dalliance with her four-year-old daughter was in jail Friday in a city near San Francisco, according to police.

"It was bad, really bad, what she was offering up," Martinez police detective Sergeant Gary Peterson said of 22-year-old Shannon Woods.

"If she is going to prostitute her own kid, that would rank up there with the nastiest of all time. I feel so sad for the little girl."

Woods was nearing the end of her latest pregnancy when she posted a sex-for-cash advertisement on the Internet website Craigslist, according to police.

The ad touted that she was pregnant, fully lactating, and open to a variety of sexual techniques, Peterson said.

In an instant message exchange with a potential customer online, Woods told of having a daughter and appeared to offer the girl on a sex-for-cash menu, according to police.

The person involved in the online conversation tipped off authorities that arrested Woods and searched her home in Martinez on Tuesday, Peterson said.

Woods had given birth to her second child, who was a week-old at the time of the raid, according to police. Both children were taken into protective custody.

Police on Friday were examining a confiscated laptop computer, compact discs and video tape recordings to determine whether Woods had consummated any previous sex deals involving the girl.

"We are hoping we don't find anything and the girl has not been abused," Peterson said. "We would be happy with that."

Woods remained in custody Friday in lieu of 50,000 dollars bail. Prosecutors will review the evidence in the case on Monday and determine whether to pursue charges against Woods, Peterson said.
