DUBLIN, Ireland, Oct 27, 2005 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Opera Ireland's production of "La Traviata" hit a road bump when cocaine was found tucked amid its sets and costumes in the back of a delivery truck.

British customs agents confiscated the truck and all its cargo in Dover Monday after finding the 11 kilos of cocaine, the Irish Independent reported. Driver Gerald Anthony Devlin was arrested and has a court date set for next week.

Opera Ireland officials said the truck had been hired to transport the costumes and sets for "La Traviata" from Germany to Dublin.

An Opera Ireland executive said the German troupe's costumes still need to be measured and altered for the Irish cast. Not having them this late in the game "is leaving us in a difficult position," he said.

The Opera said it would improvise if it has to, but the show will go on Nov. 19.
