THANKSGIVING POINT -- A unique golf tournament aims to raise money for a little boy fighting leukemia, along with others like him.

The "Lights Out Fore Leukemia" event is set for Friday, Aug. 13 at Thanksgiving Point. The night golf tournament was inspired by 3-year-old Max Petty, who was diagnosed in March with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Family and friends say Max is ready to win his battle with the disease.

Proceeds from the event will go to the "Take it 2 the Max" charity.

The tournament will begin at 8:30 p.m. To register, [CLICK HERE].
