"This shop looks like something you'd find in New York. What's it doing in Salt Lake City?" Marielos Clifton often hears this question at Charlotte's, her boutique in the 9th and 9th area of Salt Lake City.

Marielos' reasoning for her company's location is simple: Salt Lake City is where she lives so that's where her business will be. While you'd expect a boutique named Charlotte's to be owned by a Charlotte, such is not the case. The store got its name from a wonderful Schnauzer named Miss Charlotte who loved party hats and spicy meatballs and had impeccable taste.

As such, Charlotte's is full of unusual treasures for the home and personal décor. This includes fine jewelry, handbags and cashmere scarves to greeting cards that can double as frameable art. It offers fans in bright colors like pink and purple, a tulip chandelier or a variety of French-milled soaps. It includes whimsical seasonal items, a pet section with unique treasures and the birthday section with something to fit any budget. The Mustardseed and Moonshine tabletop are beautiful handmade dishes that resemble flowers and take 17 days to create. Customers can also enjoy a cup of Pete's Coffee or a delectable chocolate-dipped Oreo.

Marielos is on a constant search for unique products and beautiful objects for her boutique, which means the inventory changes regularly. She wants to stay away from the "saturated sameness" found in so many stores and hopes a visit to her boutique can be a memorable experience during which customers can feast their eyes and feed their senses with irresistible textures.

Marielos prides herself on maintaining a friendly and relaxed environment. She enjoys personal interactions with her customers and knowing them by name. She welcomes anyone to visit Charlotte's to experience its abundant collection of charming personal and home accessories, designed to dazzle all five senses.
