SALT LAKE CITY - Morgan Grim, the 2006-07 Utah Class 5-A MVP, recommitted to the University of Utah after meeting with newly named head coach Jim Boylen on Thursday.

Grim signed a national letter of intent with Utah last fall, and confirmed to Boylen that he plans to join the Runnin' Utes for the 2007-08 season.

Grim led Riverton High School to Utah Class 5-A championship game for the second consecutive year in 2007. He averaged 22.5 points per game in the state tournament and had 29 points in the championship game. Grim averaged 21 points and eight rebounds per game on the season.

"I went to the team's practice this morning and met with Coach Boylen this afternoon," said Grim. "I was really impressed with how he was ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work right away, and I really like the way he ran his practice. He was so enthusiastic and excited about being at Utah, and he got me excited. I'm looking forward to being a part of the Utah program."
