In my summary of Friday's football practice, I failed to mention the players getting special teams work.
In the kick/punt return group (no live kicks; only JUGGS machine): McKay Jacobson, J.D. Falslev, O'Neill Chambers, Cody Hoffman, Steven Thomas
Holder: B.J. Peterson
Deep Snapper: Mike Hague
Placekicker/Punter: Riley Stephenson (Mitch Payne dressed, but not kicking)
I forgot to ask Coach Bronco Mendenhall about Hague, since there probably aren't too many 5'10" running backs long snapping in the FBS these days. It would be interesting to hear if Mendenhall has plans to keep Hague at that spot when fall camp opens.
By the way, Hague was to have limited participation as a back in spring ball due to his 2009 ankle injury/recovery.

Reminder: I'm on vacation this week; any "Cougar Tracks" contributions will be minimal. I'll be as dependent as all of you on the fine work of Jeff Call, Jay Drew, Jason Franchuk and Darnell Dickson for eyewitness reports from spring practices.
