Utah governor declares state of emergency over escalating wildfires

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has issued a state of emergency in response to escalating wildfires across the state.

Advisories issued for Utah Lake, Jordan River as harmful algal blooms return

Utah Lake visitors are being urged to avoid swimming, skiing, wading or drinking any water from the Lake because a harmful algal bloom is impacting it. Jordan River in Salt Lake County is affected by the bloom as well.

An avid hunter said he dragged himself for 11 hours across nearly four miles of brush in the Uinta Mountains to reach his truck after a rollover in his side-by-side left him badly injured.
