Leading 14-10 at the end of the first half, LSU saw its lead shrink to 14-10 after a 47-yard field goal by Brock Taylor on the Commodores first possession of the third quarter. Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia made it a 24-17 game late in the game on a 1-yard touchdown run, but LSU was able to keep the ball for the final 5:47 of the game, sealing the victory. Pavia finished with 43 yards rushing on six carries and was 13-of-24 passing for 186 yards.

It was the second straight loss for the Cougars (8-3), who were coming off a 38-35 loss last weekend to New Mexico that dashed the Cougars' hopes of possibly earning an at-large bid to the 12-team College Football Playoff.

Kobe Tracy was 27-of-44 passing for 249 yards with three interceptions for Idaho State (5-7, 3-5) and ran for a 3-yard TD in the fourth quarter that made it 30-17.

Sawyer Robertson threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns, Bryson Washington rushed for 113 yards and Baylor defeated Houston 20-10 for the Bears' fifth straight win. Robertson, who finished 15 of 23 and threw three interceptions, had touchdown passes of 5 yards to Michael Trigg and 23 yards to Ashtyn Hawkins in the first half as Baylor built a 17-7 halftime lead. Hawkins caught six passes for 65 yards, and Trigg had four catches for 96 yards for Baylor (7-4, 5-3 Big 12). Zeon Chriss had 126 yards passing and threw three interceptions for Houston (4-7, 3-5).

Their defense allowed two field goals and just 12 first downs. French's 30-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Sanders Jr. gave Georgia Southern a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and they led 13-3 at halftime. Stewart's third field goal made it 16-6 in the fourth quarter, White added a 2-yard touchdown run and Stewart capped the win with a 39-yard boot.

South Dakota State ensures share of MVFC title smashing FBS-bound Missouri State 45-9

Five minutes later, Godley's 25-yard run made it 25-17 and Thompson added his fifth field goal for the final score. Munoz threw for 191 yards and Adrian Cormier had 138 yards rushing for the Wildcats.

Ustby scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and her board with 6:58 left was the 1,000th of her career. Bischoff made five 3s and scored 19 points to lead Ball State (4-1).

Arizona State's fans rushed the field after what they thought was the final play, but there was still 1 second remaining. It took roughly 15 minutes to clear the field before BYU ran a final Hail Mary play that fell incomplete.

The Eagles wrapped up the regular season with five straight wins and earned a four-way share of the conference title with Southeast Missouri State, UT Martin and Tennessee State. Jay Pearson accounted for the Panthers' lone score with a 2-yard touchdown run at the end of a 10-play, 75-yard drive that lasted nearly five-and-a-half minutes. The two-point conversion failed.

The strangest play of the game happened with USF leading 49-7. Tulsa quarterback Kirk Francis threw a deep pass to Joseph Williams along the right sideline. He appeared headed for Tulsa's second touchdown, but defensive back Ben Knox hustled to poke the ball away at the goal line and recovered it at the 2-yard line.

Gio Lopez threw three touchdown passes, Fluff Bothwell ran for 104 yards, and South Alabama defeated Southern Miss 35-14. Lopez threw two touchdown passes in the second quarter as the Jaguars rallied from an 8-0 deficit to lead 14-11 at halftime. In the third quarter, Lopez hit Jamaal Pritchett on a 40-yard touchdown pass and Wesley Miller returned an interception 57 yards for a touchdown that made it 28-11. Bothwell's 2-yard run midway through the fourth quarter wrapped up the scoring. Lopez was 15-for-24 passing for 193 yards. Pritchett caught eight passes for 102 yards.

Farley, 61, announced Nov. 10 that he would step down at the end of his 24th season. He retires as the winningest football coach in both Northern Iowa and Missouri Valley Conference history with 183 victories. He guided the Panthers to seven conference titles, earned two conference Coach of the Year awards and was named the 2007 FCS National Coach of the Year.

Valparaiso blocked a punt with four seconds remaining, Gary Givens III caught a touchdown pass from Caron Tyler on the final play and Tyler threw for the 2-point conversion, lifting Valparaiso to a thrilling 18-17 victory over Davidson. Givens caught a well-defended pass deep in the end zone and maintained possession when he fell on top of the defender, making the score 17-16 as the fourth-quarter clock hit zero. Mason Pierce was also left wide open for an 18-yard score with 2:43 left.

Jojo Uga's 2-yard touchdown run capped a 24-point fourth quarter and Albany beat Hampton 41-34 on Saturday in a season finale. Jack Iuliano recovered a fumble by Malcom May at the Hampton 24, and though it took 10 plays, Uga went in for the touchdown and the game's final lead. Malcolm Mays scored on a 25-yard run for Hampton (5-7, 2-6 Coastal Athletic Association) but the PAT was blocked and Kevon Angry ran it back for Albany (4-8, 2-6), leaving Hampton with a 34-27 lead with 10 minutes remaining. Alex Jreige's 53-yard run then tied the game.

Brandon Nunez threw just two passes, each for a score, and New Mexico State beat Middle Tennessee 36-21 to end a three-game losing streak. Nunez tossed a 12-yard touchdown pass to Seth McGowan to give the Aggies a 20-7 lead midway through the third quarter. After Middle Tennessee pulled to 26-21 early in the fourth, Nunez tossed a 4-yard TD pass to Cooper Sheehan that made it 33-21. Parker Awad completed 12 of 16 passes for 221 yards for New Mexico State (3-8, 2-5 Conference USA). Nicholas Vattiato threw two touchdowns and two interceptions for Middle Tennessee (3-8, 2-5).

South Dakota scores with 12 seconds left to beat FCS top-ranked North Dakota State 29-28

Aidan Bouman threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Javion Phelps with 12 seconds left and South Dakota defeated FCS top-ranked North Dakota State 29-28 on Saturday to claim a share of its first Missouri Valley Football Conference championship. The Coyotes trailed 28-17 when Bouman threw deep to Jack Martens for a 40-yard touchdown with 3:22 remaining. They got the ball back with 1:16 left and six plays later Bouman was sacked. The Coyotes quickly lined up and Bouman found Phelps alone 2 yards shy of the end zone along the left sideline and he easily scored.

Hidalgo leads No. 6 Notre Dame over JuJu Watkins and third-ranked USC 74-61 in big matchup out West

Hannah Hidalgo scored 24 points and No. 6 Notre Dame defeated JuJu Watkins and third-ranked Southern California 74-61 in a marquee matchup on the West Coast. Hidalgo had six rebounds and eight assists in front of several WNBA scouts. Olivia Miles added 20 points for the Fighting Irish, who improved to 5-0. Watkins finished with 24 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Trojans, who fell to 4-1. The Irish came out strong, taking a 20-10 lead in the first quarter, when Hidalgo had 11 points. They never looked back and stayed poised when USC came within three points three different times.

Stubblefield accounts for 4 TDs, South Carolina State runs past Norfolk State 53-21

Ryan Stubblefield threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead South Carolina State to a 53-21 win over Norfolk State. The Spartans led 14-10 after one quarter but the Bulldogs scored the next 29 points. Stubblefield scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 3-yard keeper late in the second quarter, capping a seven-play, 76-yard drive. Then he found Einaj Carter for 10-yard touchdown in the third as the Spartans pulled away. KZ Adams, who had 128 yards on 18 carries, then ran for a pair of touchdowns, making it 39-14 in the opening minute of the fourth quarter.Jalen Daniels threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score for the Spartans.

Rhode Island beats Bryant 35-21 to claim share of Coastal Athletic Association title

Malik Grant rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns and Rhode Island beat Bryant 35-21 on Saturday to capture a share of its first league title in 39 years. Rhode Island (10-2, 7-1 Coastal Athletic Association) secured the program's seventh title, with each of the previous six coming in the Yankee Conference. The Rams tied a program record for total wins in a season with 10, first set in 1984 and matched in 1985. Hunter Helms threw for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception for Rhode Island. Grant also added his first touchdown reception of the season.

Princely Umanmielen's return to the Swamp ended with a police escort. Umanmielen, who spent three years at Florida before transferring to Ole Miss, left the stadium with a number of officers surrounding him. And the defensive end still tried to get at heckling fans. It started when Umanmielen left the sideline in the waning seconds of a 24-17 loss to the Gators. He was walking toward the visiting locker room when at least one fan yelled at him from a ramp that leads into the stadium. Umanmielen clearly didn't like what he heard and started jogging up the ramp. Officers followed and escorted Umanmielen toward the team's waiting busses. Fans shouted at him again. Umanmielen turned and started to dart toward them before officers stepped in and stopped him again.

Chase Artopoeus has two TD passes, TD run as Chattanooga tops Austin Peay 24-17 in season finale

Chase Artopoeus threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead Chattanooga to a 24-17 victory over Austin Peay in a nonconference regular-season finale. Artopoeus completed 15 of 21 passes for 161 yards for Chattanooga. He had a 7-yard scoring toss to John McIntyre to put the Mocs up 24-10 early in the final quarter. Smith finished with 192 yards on 21-for-36 passing for Austin Peay, which finishes its first season under head coach Jeff Faris with a 4-8 record.

Derek Robertson throws for school-record 536 yards and Monmouth surprises Stony Brook 55-47

Derek Robertson threw for a school-record 536 yards and three touchdowns, and Monmouth wrapped up its season with a wild 55-47 victory over Stony Brook. Robertson completed 28 of 45 passes with touchdowns of 3 yards to Marcus Middleton, 51 yards to Tra Neal and 42 yards to Max James. Neal, a wide receiver, threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Jack Neri that gave the Hawks a 55-44 lead in the fourth quarter. FCS No. 20 Stony Brook trailed 42-30 at halftime after Monmouth's 28-point second quarter but was within 49-44 after Jasiah Williams threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Dez Williams, also on a wide-receiver pass play.

Greene Jr. runs for 3 TDs, Matthews adds 134 yards and a score to lead Towson over Campbell 45-23

Tyrell Greene Jr. ran for three touchdowns, Devin Matthews added 134 yards on the ground with a score and Towson beat Campbell 45-23. Greene scored on a 7-yard run with 12:55 remaining, and after Tigers' Will Middleton intercepted a Mike Chandler II pass, he broke loose for a 30-yard touchdown that stretched the Towson lead to 35-16 about 30 seconds later.  Matthews carried the ball 15 times and scored on a 54-yard run for Towson (7-5, 5-3 Coastal Athletic Association). Mark Biggins had a 1-yard touchdown run and Chandler had a touchdown pass for Campbell (3-9, 1-7).

Pitt quarterback Eli Holstein knocked out of game at Louisville with leg injury

Pittsburgh quarterback Eli Holstein was carted off the field with a left leg injury sustained while being sacked in the first quarter at Louisville but returned to the sideline by halftime of the Panthers' 37-9 loss on Saturday. Coach Pat Narduzzi said Holstein was 'banged up' without elaborating. The redshirt freshman's left ankle was caught at an awkward angle beneath Louisville defensive end Ashton Gillotte's hip on the twisting tackle for a 4-yard loss at midfield. Panthers medical personnel rushed to Holstein's aid with a cart arriving quickly on the field within minutes. Holstein's leg was placed in a boot before he was helped up and onto the cart. He gave a thumbs-up to nearby teammates as he left the field to applause.

Drake eases by Stetson 49-10 to secure a second straight outright Pioneer Football League title

Luke Bailey threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns with only five incompletions and Drake eased by Stetson 49-10 on Saturday to secure a second straight outright Pioneer Football League title. Davion Cherwin rushed for 161 yards on 11 carries and scored two times for Drake. Jun Ahn and Luke Woodson also had rushing scores. Cherwin scored a 91-yard touchdown, the longest run in the PFL this season, to make it 21-7 early in the second quarter. Drake defensive lineman Finn Claypool forced a fumble on the third play of the second half and his teammate recovered it. Then Bailey lofted a pass to Jaxon Laminack for a touchdown and a 35-10 lead.

Gettman kicks go-ahead FG as Villanova ends Delaware's FCS-era with a 38-28 win in finale

Ethan Gettman kicked what proved to be the game-winning field goal from 31-yards out midway through the fourth quarter and Brendan Bell added an insurance touchdown a minute later as Villanova pulled away from Delaware in the second half to post a 38-28 victory in the season finale. The Wildcats now have won 17 of their last 19 meetings with the Blue Hens, who played their final regular season game as an FCS-member. Connor Watkins raced 38 yards on a quarterback draw to score the go-ahead touchdown to start the second half. Delaware will join the FBS and join Conference USA for the 2025 season.

Downing throws for 2 TDs, runs for another, Elon tops North Carolina A&T 31-21

Matthew Downing threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Elon to a 31-21 season-ending win over North Carolina A&T. Downing was 16 of 21 for 203 yards. Chandler Brayboy had 12 receptions for 118 yards with a score. Rushawn Baker ran for 106 yards for the Phoenix. Julian Bumper also had a 10-yard rushing touchdown on his only carry and Jamarien Dalton had a 30-yard receiving touchdown on his only catch. Freshman Cortez Lane returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown for the Aggies, who lost their 11th straight. Justin Fomby threw for 190 yards and a touchdown pass to Daniel Cole and Shimique Blizzard ran for 87 yards and a TD.

Jones accounts for 4 TDs, defense adds two TDs, NC Central swamps Delaware State 52-10

Joshua Jones threw for one touchdown and ran for three as North Carolina Central wrapped up the regular season with a 52-10 win over Delaware State. The defense also contributed a pair of touchdowns on interceptions, Eric Adams in the first quarter went 37 yards and C.J. Henry went 63 yards in the second. In all the Eagles had five takeaways. Jones had a pair of short scoring runs before the first defensive touchdown for a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. Jones was 11-of-15 passing for 199 yards and ran for 57. J'Mari Taylor rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown. Jaden Sutton ran for 113 yards and a touchdown for the Hornets, who lost their 10th straight.

Merrimack holds Fordham to 31 yards offense in 19-3 win

Ayden Pereira rushed for 136 yards on 17 carries and threw for a touchdown and Merrimack's defense smothered Fordham 19-3 in a season finale. Jay Thompson had three solo sacks and was credited with four of Merrimack's 11 sacks. The Rams (2-10) finished with just four first downs and were held to minus-29 yards rushing and 31 total yards offense. The Warriors (5-6) also made two interceptions. Pereira was 12-of-15 passing for 131 yards, connecting with  Jalen McDonald for a 12-yard touchdown and a 16-3 lead late in the third quarter. Lliam Davis's field goal made it 19-3 in the fourth quarter.

Hope Adebayo, Tak Tateoka help St. Thomas-Minnesota end season with 32-9 victory over Dayton

Hope Adebayo rushed for 123 yards and two scores, Tak Tateoka threw a touchdown pass and St. Thomas-Minnesota rolled to a 32-9 victory over Dayton in a season finale. Dayton scored first on a 24-yard field goal by Danny Baker, but the Tommies (6-6, 5-3 Pioneer Football League) responded with 25 unanswered points on its way to a 22-point advantage at halftime. Adebayo gave the Tommies the lead with an 11-yard touchdown run. Tateoka connected with Colin Chase for a 42-yard score and a 14-3 lead early in the second quarter. Drew VanVleet threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Jake Coleman late to complete the scoring for the Flyers (6-5, 4-4).

Liberty gains 419 on the ground with 4 touchdowns in a 38-21 victory over Western Kentucky

Quinton Cooley rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns, Billy Lucas added 131 yards and a score, and Liberty gained 419 on the ground with four touchdowns in a 38-21 victory over Western Kentucky. Liberty (8-2, 5-2 Conference USA) has won eight-plus games for the sixth consecutive season to keep alive hopes of a second straight trip to the conference championship game. The Flames play Sam Houston (8-3, 5-2) on Friday. Amarian Williams made two interceptions, including one with 2:03 remaining to seal it. Caden Veltkamp was intercepted three times before finishing 20 of 34 for 262 yards and two touchdowns for Western Kentucky (7-4, 5-2).

Luke Kromenhoek throws 3 TD passes as Florida St. ends six-game skid vs. Charleston Southern

Luke Kromenhoek threw for 209 yards and tossed three touchdown passes as Florida State halted a six-game losing streak and routed Charleston Southern 41-7. Kromenhoek completed 13 of 20 passes in his first college start, including a 71-yard touchdown pass to Ja'Khi Douglas, as the Seminoles won for the first time since Sept. 21. The true freshman also connected with Amaree Williams for a 4-yard TD and Hykeem Williams for a 10-yard TD.

Nico Iamaleava throws 4 TD passes to lead No. 10 Tennessee over UTEP 56-0

Nico Iamaleava threw for 209 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 10 Tennessee to a 56-0 victory over UTEP Saturday. The Volunteers (9-2) overcame a sluggish start to roll up the impressive win. Both teams were scoreless in the first quarter, but Tennessee found its rhythm. Grad student receiver Bru McCoy, who hadn't caught a touchdown pass this season, collected two. Peyton Lewis also ran for two scores.

No. 24 Illinois stuns Rutgers on Bryant's 40-yard TD reception with 4 seconds left

Luke Altmyer found Pat Bryant for a catch-and-run, 40-yard touchdown pass with 4 seconds left, sending No. 24 Illinois to a wild 38-31 victory over Rutgers. Illinois was down 31-30 when it sent long kicker Ethan Moczulski out for a desperation 58-yard field goal with 14 seconds to go. Rutgers coach Greg Schiano then called for a timeout right before Moczulski's attempt was wide left and about 15 yards short. After the missed field goal was waved off by the timeout, Illinois coach Bret Bielema sent his offense back on the field. Altmyer hit Bryant on an in cut on the left side at the 22, and he continued across the field and scored untouched.

Jennings rushes for tiebreaking touchdown and Presbyterian defeats Butler 30-27

Quante Jennings rushed for 190 yards and a tiebreaking touchdown as Presbyterian beat Butler 30-20 in a regular-season finale on Saturday.Collin Hurst threw for 172 yards and two scores for the Blue Hose. Reagan Andrew threw for three touchdowns and was intercepted once for the Bulldogs. Jennings' 50-yard rush led to Hurst's 17-yard touchdown pass to Worth Warner to tie the game at 20 midway through the third quarter.  Presbyterian's next possession began on the Butler 30 after a short punt from deep in Bulldogs territory, and five plays later Jennings scored from 10 yards out. Peter Lipscombe made it a 10-point lead with a field goal with 2:15 to go.

Central Connecticut's defense makes 7 interceptions to earn NEC's bid to FCS playoffs

Elijah Howard ran for 110 yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns and Central Connecticut beat Duquesne 21-14 to claim the Northeast Conference's automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. Howard provided the game-winning score running it in from the 6, then threw the 2-point conversion to quarterback Brady Olson to make it 21-14 with 13:44 left in the fourth quarter. The Blue Devils' defense sealed the game when it stymied the Dukes on their final three possessions.

Tanner, Charles connect for 2 TDs and Robert Morris tops Stonehill 31-13

Zach Tanner threw two touchdown passes to Shawn Charles and Robert Morris ended the season with a 31-13 win over Stonehill. Tanner and Charles hooked up for an 86-yard score on the second snap for the Colonials and then went for 51 yards to make it 21-0 after one quarter. Tanner was 13 of 20 for 268 yards with two interceptions. Charles caught four passes for 149 yards. DJ Moyer capped a 69-yard drive in the first quarter with a 1-yard plunge. Danny Hurley kicked two field goals to help get the Skyhawks within eight points but a field goal and a Turner Schmidt fumble recovery for a score wrapped up the game for Robert Morris.

OL Ryan Welch scores on a trick play for a go-ahead conversion as Mercyhurst tops St. Francis 21-20

Adam Urena and Cameron Barmore connected on two fourth-quarter touchdowns, and offensive lineman Ryan Welch scored on a trick play for a 2-point conversion with 42 seconds left to give Mercyhurst a 21-20 victory over St. Francis (Pa.). Barmore scored from 10-yards out on the first drive of the fourth quarter to tie it at 13-all. St. Francis answered with an eight-play, 86-yard drive ending in a 45-yard pass from Nick Whitfield Jr. to Gavin Thomson. Mercyhurst returned the ensuing kickoff 13 yards before going on a 12-play drive that ended in a juggling catch by Barmore in the end zone from 29-yards out. On the game-winning play, Barmore caught a pass short of the end zone and pitched it to Welch, who ran it in from about the 5.

Proctor throws for 4 TDs, runs for 3; Dartmouth claims share of Ivy crown with 56-28 win over Brown

Jackson Proctor threw four touchdown passes and ran for three more, including a 75-yard dash in the third quarter, as Dartmouth earned a share of the Ivy League championship for the second-straight season after a 56-28 win over Brown. Harvard entered the day in first place, but lost to Yale, 34-29, to create a three-way tie for the title with Columbia, a 17-9 winner over Cornell. Dartmouth (8-2, 5-2) has won the Ivy League crown 22 times and captured four of the last five. Harvard earned its 19th all-time title while Columbia claims a share for just the second time in school history.

Yale beats Harvard 34-29 in the 140th playing of The Game; Crimson claims a share of Ivy title

Grant Jordan passed for 287 yards and two touchdowns, Joshua Pitsenberger had touchdowns receiving and rushing, and Yale beat Harvard 34-29 in the 140th playing of The Game. Yale has won six of the last eight games with Harvard in the third-most played rivalry in college football. Harvard has not won a series game at home since 2014. Harvard clinched a share of the league title with Dartmouth and Columbia. The Big Green have 22 titles, the Crimson 19 and the Lions secured their first since 1961. Pitsenberger had a key fourth-quarter touchdown when he came out of the backfield to catch a short pass on the left side and then cut back four different defenders to race to the right side of the end zone.

Lehigh wraps up Patriot League title with 38-14 win over most-frequent rival Lafayette

Mason Moore returned an interception for a touchdown to highlight another strong defensive performance by Lehigh and the Mountain Hawks defeated rival Lafayette 38-14 to claim the Patriot League's automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs. The Mountain Hawks won their fifth consecutive game, holding their opponent under 20 points in each game. Moore's 41-yard pick-6 capped off a defensive effort that allowed only 283 total yards and intercepted two Lafayette passes. Lehigh and Holy Cross finished tied for first place but the Mountain Hawks get the automatic bid based on their 10-7 victory over the Crusaders two weeks ago. Lehigh had 229 yards rushing, with Jaden Green, Matt Machalik and Luke Yoder all going over 60 yards.

Beck throws 4 TD passes and Frazier runs for 3 scores to lead No. 8 Georgia past UMass, 59-21

Carson Beck threw four touchdown passes, Nate Frazier ran for 136 yards with three scores and No. 8 Georgia overwhelmed Massachusetts 59-21 as the Bulldogs tried to protect their College Football Playoff hopes. Georgia needed the big offense from Beck and Frazier to rescue a leaky run defense. UMass played its first game under interim coach Shane Montgomery, the offensive coordinator who retained his play-calling duties after replacing fired coach Don Brown. Georgia extended its streak of consecutive home wins to 30, the longest active streak in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Mitchell leads No. 18 Cincinnati in rout of Georgia Tech 81-58

Dillon Mitchell had 14 points and 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season, and No. 18 Cincinnati beat Georgia Tech 81-58. Jizzle James and Cole Hickman also scored 14 points apiece for the 5-0 Bearcats, who passed the first true test of the young season against their first major conference opponent in the Yellow Jackets of the ACC. Naithan George made three 3-pointers while scoring 13 points for Georgia Tech.

Lindauer throws record 7 TDs, D has five picks and Southern Illinois overwhelms Murray State 62-0

Michael Lindauer threw for a school-record seven touchdowns and Southern Illinois wrapped up the regular season with a 62-0 win over Murray State. Lindauer was 20-of-33 passing for 283 yards. Keontez Lewis had five receptions for 104 yards and touchdowns covering 4 and 65 yards. Bradley Clark had five catches for 84 yards and touchdowns of 35 and 23 yards. Nah'shawn Hezekiah had touchdowns of 19 and 35 yards on his two catches. Allen Middleton ran for 124 yards on 15 carries and backup quarterback Jeremiah Baxter ran for a fourth-quarter score.  Jay Jones caught one pass for one yard and a touchdown for Southern Illinois. The Saluki had 529 yards and held the Racers to 185 yards. Three quarterbacks combined to throw five interceptions for Murray State.

Holy Cross gets share of 6th straight Patriot League title with 34-0 win over Hoyas

Jayden Clerveaux rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns and Holy Cross defeated Georgetown 34-0 in a regular-season finale on Saturday. The Crusaders (6-6, 5-1) earned a share of their sixth straight Patriot League title but Lehigh will get the league's automatic bid to the FCS playoffs, having beaten Holy Cross 10-7 this season. Holy Cross took a 17-0 lead on a Daniel Porto field goal, Joe Townsend's 15-yard return of a punt block made by Lathan Croley and Clerveaux's 18-yard run. Clerveaux's 3-yard score made it 27-0 in the third quarter.

Kyle McCord leads Syracuse to first eight-win regular season in six years with win over UConn

Kyle McCord threw for a season-high 470 yards with two touchdowns to lead Syracuse to a 31-24 win over UConn. The win improves the Orange to 8-3 for their first eight-win regular season since 2018, and third since 2000. McCord completed 37-of-47 passes for his first 400-yard game this season. He opened the game with a 77-yard touchdown drive, spanning two plays in 50 seconds. The touchdown came on a 22-yard pass to Oronde Gadsden. McCord broke Syracuse's all-time record for single-season passing yards with 4:12 remaining in the first half. UConn will end its season without a Power Four win after staying within 10 points of the Orange for all 60 minutes.

No. 3 USC loses Kennedy Smith indefinitely after starting guard has surgery

Southern California starting guard Kennedy Smith will be sidelined indefinitely after having a surgical procedure. Her status was announced shortly before the third-ranked Trojans hosted No. 6 Notre Dame on Saturday. USC says Smith is expected to return to competition this season. The freshman from nearby Chino was averaging 10.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in four games. Smith last played on Nov. 15 against Santa Clara, with nine points and five steals in the victory. Freshman Kayleigh Heckel was making her first start of the season in Smith's place.

Florida knocks No. 9 Ole Miss out of College Football Playoff contention, 24-17 in the Swamp

DJ Lagway threw two touchdown passes, Montrell Johnson ran for 127 yards and a score, and Florida upset No. 9 Mississippi 24-17 on Saturday to knock the Rebels out of College Football Playoff contention. The Gators beat ranked teams in consecutive weeks for the first time since 2008 and became bowl eligible. The late-season spurt provided another vote of confidence for coach Billy Napier, who is expected back for a fourth season. Ole Miss lost for the first time in four games and surely will drop out of the 12-team playoff picture.

Littlepage-Buggs, Felder help No. 18 Baylor women roll past Southern Miss 101-55 in Bahamas

Darianna Littlepage-Buggs scored 19 points, Yaya Felder had 14 points, eight rebounds and eight assists and No. 18 Baylor coasted to a 101-55 win over Southern Mississippi to open the Battle 4 Atlantis. Jada Walker added 17 points and eight assists for the Bears, who play the Indiana-Columbia winner in the semifinals. Je'Mya Evans and Melyia Grayson both had 12 points for the Lady Eagles. The Ducks beat Ohio State 32-31 in a wild one back on Oct. 12.

Greenwood's 3-touchdown day carries Long Island University past Wagner 35-28 in season finale

Ethan Greenwood ran for two touchdowns, including a 56-yarder to open the scoring, and Ludovick Choquette punched over from 2 yards out in the fourth quarter to lift Long Island University to a 35-28 win over Wagner in the season finale for both programs. The Sharks, who lost their first six games to start the season, won four of their final six games to finish 4-8 (3-3 in the Northeast Conference). Wagner lost its final four games to finish (4-8, 2-4).

Irby scores only TD to give ETSU 16-9 win over VMI to end season

Devontae Houston rushed for 104 yards Bryson Irby ran for a touchdown and Ewan Johnson kicked three field goals as East Tennessee State defeated VMI 16-9. Irby's touchdown, a 1-yard plunge, came after the Keydets had a punting problem that gave the Buccaneers the ball on the 17-yard line. Otherwise, both teams finished drives with field goals. Johnson's kicks came from 22, 20 and 40 yards, the last making it 16-3 early in the second half for the Bucs. Caden Beck had a 39-yard field goal on the game's opening drive and then hit a pair from 48 yards.

BC celebrates 40th anniversary of Doug Flutie's Miracle in Miami pass with 41-21 win over NC

Quarterback Grayson James threw for a touchdown and ran for another Saturday, and Boston College celebrated the 40th anniversary of Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie's Hail Mary pass with a 41-21 victory over North Carolina. Ryan Turner added a 78-yard interception return for BC, which became bowl eligible under first-year coach Bill O'Brien. It's the second straight and eighth in the last nine years the Eagles have a bowl opportunity. Flutie and many of his 1984 teammates were honored on the field before the second quarter. The Spiders got Sean O'Haire's 50-yard field goal and two short touchdown runs by Coleman to lead 17-0 at halftime. In the fourth quarter, O'Haire connected from 30 yards and Palmer-Smith added a 1-yard touchdown run to wrap up the scoring.

The Gamecocks (8-3, 7-0) won their eighth straight game. They finish their regular-season schedule at Western Kentucky next Saturday while the Bearkats (8-3, 5-2) will be hosts to Liberty on Friday. Huff ran for 177 yards on 30 carries and threw for 54 yards. Tre Stewart rushed for 99 yards on 27 carries. Hunter Watson rushed for 102 yards with a touchdown on 21 carries and threw for 84 more for the Bearkats.

Kaufman-Renn leads No. 6 Purdue to rout of Marshall 80-45

Trey Kaufman-Renn had 18 points and Myles Colvin and Camden Heide each scored 13 to lead No. 6 Purdue to an 80-45 rout of Marshall. Colvin and Heide were making their first starts of the season for Purdue. Braden Smith, who was averaging 14.6 points, was scoreless on an 0-for-4 shooting day. Smith had a team-high nine assists. Nate Martin led Marshall with nine points, playing 24 minutes before fouling out with several minutes left in the game.

Ole Miss WR Tre Harris appears to injure his groin in his first game back in six weeks

Mississippi star receiver Tre Harris, returning after missing the last six weeks with a lower-body injury, left the Rebels' game at Florida with an apparent groin injury. Harris was hurt in the second quarter while trying to make a leaping catch near the Ole Miss sideline. His leg appeared to get stretched awkwardly during the play. He dropped the ball as he fell to the ground and was helped to the locker room. The ninth-ranked Rebels also lost safety Yam Banks in the first half. Banks injured his left knee trying to defend DJ Lagway's 8-yard touchdown pass to Elijhah Badger and was carted off the field.
