STAYING ON COURSE — It's the end of April, which means golf season in most parts of the country.

The PGA had its day on the internet at this weekend's Zurich Classic in Louisiana.

But first, Donovan Mitchell gave a special shoutout after the Utah Jazz's 110-96 loss to Houston in the opening game of the Western Conference semifinals Sunday.

As always, click the video above for all of our Great Clips of the Week.

Rest in pieces

Anyone who knows Jazz rookie star Donovan Mitchell (or anyone who follows him on Twitter) knows his nickname "Spida D."

But there's one special spider that the world lost this week.

The world's oldest spider, an arachnid in Australia nicknamed Number 16, died suddenly at the age of 43.

Naturally, Mitchell paid his dearest respects with a top-shelf tweet.

Gator golf

The star of the PGA’s best-ball tournament Zurich Classic wasn't found among its winners — Scott Piercy and Billy Horschel, who won the event at 22-under-par 266 — or Utah’s Danny Summerhays and Tony Finau.

No, the star of the tournament was a gator who held up play during Thursday’s opening round because he refused to move out of the way for Talor Gooch and Chesson Hadley.

The gator in question was one of three who kept the pair off the fairway at the par-5 18th hole at TPC Louisiana. Two of them moved, but one simply wouldn’t oblige.

When asked to try to shoo it off the course, Gooch didn’t hesitate to decline.

“I like my life. I like it with all my limbs,” he told PGA Media. “So I stay away from those things.”

So do we, Gooch. So do we.

Lighten up, Danny

Not all moments at the event were harrowing, though.

Summerhays caught the spirit of his first team event of the year with longtime friend Finau, and he showed off his dance moves Thursday.

His moves worked, too. Team Summerhays-Finau shot a four-day total of 176 with two rounds in the low-60s to finish in sixth place.

And team got to know each other pretty well through the weekend.

Show stopper

We’re still close to four months away from the college football season (yes, we’ve counted), and to make matters worse, spring showcases/spring games are also winding down.

Nevada gave us one final gift before heading into the long, dreary offseason.

No, it wasn’t a quarterback’s deep pass or an impressive, one-handed arm tackle of any kind.

We can’t figure out what we like better: the obvious week to sneak into the end zone … or the touchdown celebration that will have this girl turned into a meme by lunchtime Monday afternoon.

You know what to do, internet.
