Remember when Doritos asked the public to “crash the Super Bowl”? Anyone with a camera and an idea could submit their own Super Bowl spots. And they ended up being among the top-rated ads. While Doritos has retired the campaign as of last year, a local Utah program is reviving the idea for a traffic safety education campaign. This time only teens can participate. So if you think your teen has what it takes to make a Super Bowl ad, the Zero Fatalities program is sponsoring the Zero Bowl Video contest.
Utah teens will be challenged to create a 25-second video focused around Zero Fatalities and the five deadly driving behaviors. The winning video will air on TV "during that Super game of Football that's also a Bowl of fun," according to the Zero Fatalities contest page.
Teens who wish to participate in the contest should upload their 25-second videos to YouTube or Vimeo and submit the link via the contest's submission portal by Jan. 6, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. Any submission before December 10th will receive 5 free tickets to the Star Wars "Rouge One" premiere.
