LOGAN — Utah State's season has been mostly a nightmare so far for Aggie fans. After starting the season a predictable 2-1, things took a turn for the worse when Air Force won in a highly controversial game.
Since then, Utah State dropped three conference games in a row, landing themselves in the basement of the Mountain West.
The nightmare has finally ended, or at least let up a bit, when the Aggies beat their first Mountain West opponent. While Fresno State is struggling as well, and Utah State was highly favored, it's always nice to get that win to end a losing streak.
For true Aggies fans, the story of the weekend was more that Utah State ended with a sweep in all three sports. Utah State saw wins from its football team, volleyball team and soccer team this weekend.
Utah State (3-4) play West Division favorite San Diego State (6-1) Friday.
