SALT LAKE CITY — This week it's an all Utah State edition with BYU and Utah having a bye week. As a result, the KSL Sports team has selected freshman Darell Garretson as this week's player of the week.

Player of the Week:

Darell Garretson, QB, Utah State

In his second career start, Garretson threw for 370 yards on 28 of 41 passing, and three touchdowns, leading the Aggies to a 47-10 victory over Hawaii. His 370 yards was a Utah State record for freshman quarterbacks; surpassing Brett Stevens, who threw for 300 yards in 1985.

Honorable mention:

Kyler Fackrell, LB, Utah State

Sophomore Kyler Fackrell had nine tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and a 99 yard interception return for a touchdown. The touchdown is the first defensive touchdown of Fackrell's career. Fackrell was also named the MWC Defensive player of the week for his performance.
