SALT LAKE CITY — Conference championship weekend did not go as planned for Utah and Utah State fans.

For the Utes, despite only giving up three points to Washington's offense, an interception for a touchdown sealed their fate in a 10-3 defeat. For Utah State, they watched the MWC championship from home, a game they were oh so close to hosting themselves.

BYU fans swept the Week 14 leaderboard. Jaden Steadman led the way with 212 points, Jay Colledge was second with 202, and Randy Ross won a tiebreaker for third place. The winners will get $100, $75 and $50 Visa gift cards, respectively, courtesy of the Karl Malone Auto Group.

Utah State edged out BYU for the best weekly score, averaging 25.8 to the Cougars' 25.5. Utah came in third with 23.0.

With the regular season almost over (sorry Army vs. Navy), it is time to put our focus towards bowl season, with all three local teams invited to bowl games.

Utah State kicks off first against North Texas in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 15. BYU will face off against Western Michigan in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 21. Utah received its first-ever Holiday Bowl invite and will play Northwestern on Dec. 31.

Below are the results from Week 14, including the updated leaderboard from the KSL Sports group.
