BEIJING (AP) — China says it will limit oil supplies to North Korea, stepping up pressure on Pyongyang over its pursuit of nuclear and missile technology. The Chinese Commerce Ministry said Saturday it also will ban textile imports from the North, cutting further into the isolated economy's export revenue.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican Sen. John McCain has all but dashed his party's hopes of reviving its latest effort to repeal and replace President Barack Obama's health care law. McCain says he thinks a better bill could come about if Republicans and Democrats work together. President Donald Trump is calling McCain's opposition "sad" and "a horrible, horrible thing" for the Republican Party.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A 50-state tally by The Associated Press shows election officials in 21 states confirm their election systems were targeted by hackers last year. The states are Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. Federal officials said they reached out to election officials in 21 states on Friday but did not name the states.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Hurricane Maria is expected to soon create dangerous waves and strong rip currents along parts of the southeast U.S. coast as the Category 3 storm moves away from the Bahamas and into open water. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Maria continues to have maximum sustained winds of 125 mph. Swells are anticipated to increase along parts of the southeastern U.S. and Bermuda on Saturday.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — President Donald Trump says National Football League owners should fire players who kneel during the national anthem. And he's encouraging spectators to walk out in protest. Trump is also bemoaning the sport's decline in violence, complaining, "They're ruining the game." Trump's extended riff on the NFL came during a freewheeling rally speech in Alabama Friday night.
