BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Twin Falls man has been sentenced to more than a year behind bars for unlawfully having firearms.

U.S. Attorney Bart Davis said 48-year-old Dale Wayne Jensen was sentenced last week to 16 months in prison after investigators found several firearms in his possession in March of 2017.

KLIX reports that Twin Falls County Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant on Jensen's home where they found five firearms along with eight pounds of marijuana and marijuana concentrate.

Jensen admitted to police that the guns and marijuana were his.

Jensen was not allowed to have firearms because of a previous felony conviction for having a controlled substance in 2002.
