SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Officials say a girl who was run over by an SUV in front of her home has died.
A Utah County Sheriff's Office press release says 3-year-old Charlie Nielson was in a Salt Lake City hospital in critical condition and on life support.
The Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/2wbzPe7 ) Nielson's family decided to take her off life support on Saturday.
Officials say Nielson was struck by an SUV while she was crossing the street near her Eagle Mountain home on Friday. Officials say the 23-year-old female driver had not seen Nielson when she starting walking on the street from behind a parked car.
Investigators say the driver had not been speeding, and there was no evidence of impairment or distraction.
