CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A spring snowstorm dumped heavy snow on parts of northeast Wyoming.
A 70-mile stretch of Interstate 90 between Gillette and Buffalo remained closed Tuesday afternoon because of poor travel conditions. Earlier Tuesday, parts of I-90 between Sheridan and Buffalo and I-25 between Kaycee and Buffalo were also closed before reopening by Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service says 6 to 10 inches of snow was possible in the Buffalo area, where a winter storm warning was posted through Tuesday.
More snow was possible in many high elevation areas around Wyoming through this week.
