NEW YORK (AP) — Two people are in custody in connection with a burglary at the Indonesian Consulate in New York City.

Police say they stole alcohol, electronics, a suitcase full of clothing and a minivan they used as their getaway car Monday.

Authorities say 18-year-old David Rivera and 16-year-old Tyana Nunez face charges of burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

It wasn't immediately clear if they had lawyers who could comment on the charges.

Police say the two were arrested Tuesday after returning to a Bronx hotel they had burglarized Sunday. Police say Rivera tried to bribe police with some of the stolen items during the arrest.

Police say the two entered the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia on East 68th Street in Manhattan through an unlocked door.
