KAYSVILLE, Utah (AP) — Police say a road rage was the motive behind the beating of an 87-year-old man in a Kaysville parking lot.

KSL-TV of Salt Lake City reports (http://bit.ly/28YDRjE) that police say 66-year-old Daniel Couser was arrested Friday morning and is facing assault charges.

The victim told police that the incident started when a truck began drifting into his lane.

The victim says he honked his horn and the suspect honked back.

Couser then followed the victim into the parking lot of a grocery store and allegedly struck him.

The victim says Couser punched him twice in the face and then shoved him to the ground.

Couser then drove off but bystanders reported his license plate and a vehicle description, which led police to locating him.

The victim was treated and released.
