BURLEY, Idaho (AP) — Eastern Idaho authorities say about half a dozen railroad cars carrying corn derailed in Burley on Thursday.
Cassia County Undersheriff George Warrell tells The Times-News that there are no injuries in the Eastern Idaho Railroad derailment that occurred at about 10 a.m. where the rail line crosses U.S. Route 30.
Warrell says the highway was blocked for about 20 minutes.
Watco Companies owns the railroad. Spokeswoman Tracie VanBecelaere says the derailment is under investigation.
