Outlook

Storm number 1 is out, and storm number 2 is in! Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible across northern Utah tonight into the overnight hours. The bulk of the storm will move in Thursday morning when a cold front sweeps across northern Utah, then eventually central Utah by the afternoon. A band of valley rain and mountain snow will come with this cold front, and mountain accumulations look great in the 4 to 8" range, and up to 16" for the Cottonwoods! Dry air will move in quickly after the front passes, but any lingering shower will have the chance to bring snowflakes down to the valley floors in the late afternoon and evening. Also, Thursday night through Friday morning will be the chance for some lake effect snow bands! Temperatures will generally be in the 40s throughout the day tomorrow, and will fall to near freezing by Friday morning! Frost and freeze conditions can lead to crop damage both Friday and Saturday mornings, so protect your crops! We'll have a beautiful, sunny weekend with temperatures warming from the upper 50s Saturday to mid 60s Easter Sunday! - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 4.1.26
