I was driving back to Broadcast House from Sandy today when I spotted a man spray-painting himself gold at the intersection of 400 West and 200 South. I couldn't help but think of the guy I saw last summer on North Temple, wearing no shirt and a snake around his neck. I'd chickened out at the time so I didn't go ask him why he was wearing a snake. (Yes, living.) I was determined to find out why *this* guy was painting himself gold. Was it a political statement about the federal bailout? A cry for help? A publicity stunt? The world may never know. By the time I'd parked, fed the meter and walked back to where he stood, the guy had finished spray-painting himself and was now doing his best impression of a statue. He stood absolutely still and didn't even look at me as I took his picture and asked questions. He didn't move a muscle. Did I mention the milk crate on his head? Well, I'm hoping you, the reader, have the answer for me because now I'm forever puzzled! Any idea what the guy was doing, painted solid gold, clothes and all?
