ISLAMABAD (AP) — At least 18 people are dead in a bomb blast near Pakistan's capital, Islamabad.
Officials say the bomb ripped through a fruit and vegetable market Wednesday morning, leaving dozens of other people wounded.
The death toll could rise. Officials at a nearby hospital say they've gotten word from police that more bodies are on the way.
Police say about 11 pounds of explosives were hidden in a fruit carton. And a bomb disposal squad is scanning the market for more devices.
