LAS VEGAS (AP) — The 5-year-old namesake grandson of Las Vegas' most beloved sports figure is back in the hospital for testing after suffering a stroke.

The parents of young Jerry Tarkanian said he is now at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, as planned, for more testing to determine the cause of last week's hospitalization in Las Vegas.

Danny and Amy Tarkanian say their son has never had health issues before but is now also reporting neck pain. It's unclear how or if it's connected to the stroke.

Danny Tarkanian is a former Republican congressional candidate and Amy Tarkanian is a political commentator and former Nevada GOP chairwoman. The boy's grandmother Lois Tarkanian is a Las Vegas city councilwoman.

The Jerry Tarkanian who led UNLV to a national title in 1990 died in February.
