POST FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An 8-year-old boy died after colliding with a vehicle while riding a bike in Post Falls in northern Idaho.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says the collision happened at about 3:45 p.m. Monday. Phillip J. Geisinger was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police tell The Spokesman-Review (http://bit.ly/1TJ7liO) that the 22-year-old driver of the car was arrested on an unrelated traffic warrant and possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Chadd W. Webster of Post Falls was booked into the Kootenai County Jail.
Police say Geisinger and two other juvenile males were riding their bikes and turning onto another street.
Police Geisinger turned wide and collided with the driver's side of Webster's Nissan Maxima.
