McCall named provost at Xavier-New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Anne McCall has been appointed Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs at Xavier University in New Orleans.

McCall's appointment was announced in a Tuesday news release. McCall was chosen from among more than 100 candidates for the job. She begins her appointment as "provost-designate" immediately. She officially assumes the role of provost on July 1.

McCall comes to Xavier after serving as Dean of the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University. She also has served as Associate Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science at Tulane University.
