NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — North Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting that left a 25-year-old man dead over the weekend.

Authorities say the incident happened about 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Jose Ernesto Street, near the intersection of Camino Al Norte and Ann Road.

Investigators say two men got into an argument and then began to exchange gunfire.

Officials say the older man was shot and then taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.

Police say the 22-year-old suspect fled, but later returned to the scene of the crime and was arrested.

Authorities are trying to determine whether the two knew each other.
