BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Birmingham police say a man accused of firing gunshots during a fight outside a high school has been arrested.
Department spokesman Sean Edwards said in an emailed statement that 19-year-old Quandarius Williams of Birmingham is charged with attempted murder in a shooting Tuesday outside Huffman High School.
Edwards told local media that students had gotten into a fight outside the school and shots were fired after Williams' brother called him to the scene. No serious injuries were reported.
Edwards has said two school resource officers who were on the scene were able to take Williams into custody.
Police say Williams is being held on $100,000 bond. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
