Idaho Falls man gets 10 years for kidnapping

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho Falls man has been sentenced to at least 10 years in prison for kidnapping a man and threatening him with a gun.

The Post Register reports (http://bit.ly/1V3L16A ) that 20-year-old Faustino Anaya on Wednesday was sentenced to 10 to 25 years after he pleaded guilty in February to one count of second-degree kidnapping and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Additional drug charges and an aggravated battery charge were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

According to court documents, Anaya helped kidnap Brandon Bykonen and threatened to shoot his knee caps before three co-defendants took Bykonen to the foothills and cut off one of his fingers.

Alvaro Oseguera has been sente4nced to 10 years in connection to the case. Two other defendants are awaiting sentencing.
