NELSONVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Three finalists in the running to be the next president at a southeast Ohio college are scheduled to participate in community public forums over the next week.

The Athens Messenger reports (http://bit.ly/1cQz944 ) Hocking College will hold the forums this week and early next week. College officials say they hope the college community and public will use the forums to meet the candidates and share their impressions with the school's trustees.

The finalists include Ryan McCall, Col. Chad Breeden and interim president Betty Young.

McCall is the vice president of academic affairs for Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, while Breeden is a commanding officer at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego.

Former president Ron Erickson resigned in October amid an enrollment decline and budget shortfall.
