Federal and state fisheries biologists say water that is 5 to 6 degrees warmer is wiping out at least half of this year's returning population of the cold-water species.
CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — A southwest Idaho man who killed his girlfriend and buried her body in a cornfield has been sentenced to life in prison. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports that 40-year-old Alfredo Martinez of Nampa received the sentence Monday and must serve at least 20 years before becoming eligible for parole.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Law enforcement officials are investigating the death of a woman found in an alley in southwestern Idaho. A spokeswoman for the Boise Police Department says an employee found the body between a wooden trashcan holder and a building while taking out the trash Monday morning.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — One man has been arrested while sheriff's deputies continue to search for another suspect connected to a Twin Falls County shooting that left a man dead and another man injured. KTVB-TV reports that deputies had responded to a home Saturday after a report of shots fired. They arrived to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
