LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The chairman of the Fulbright program's scholarship board, which supervises the Fulbright Program worldwide, is to give a talk in Little Rock.
Tom Healy, who is the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board's chairman, is scheduled to speak at the Clinton School of Public Service on Tuesday. The Fulbright Program is an international exchange program and is sponsored by the federal government. It was established more than 60 years ago by the then-Arkansas Sen. William Fulbright.
About 325,400 people, including participants from the U.S. and other countries, have been involved with the program.
Healy is a writer and poet. He has served on President Bill Clinton's Presidential Advisory Council on HIV and AIDS.
President Barack Obama appointed Healy to the scholarship board in 2011.
