TUNBRIDGE, Vt. (AP) — A former principal who was fired from the Tunbridge Central School is facing charges of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child.
Vermont State Police started investigating 68-year-old Richard Talbot of South Royalton in February.
The school board says Talbot was placed on administrative leave from the school on January 20 and fired March 2, after a personnel investigation was completed.
Talbot is scheduled to be arraigned on May 13. It was not immediately known if he is being represented by a lawyer. He could not be reached for comment. There was no phone listing in his name.
