LAS VEGAS (AP) — A northwest Las Vegas community is investigating the death of several ducks and swans in the neighborhood's lake area.
The Desert Shores Community Association says two adult and two baby swans, along with three ducks, were found dead Sunday.
The association says it appears that the animals may have been killed by someone using the stones found near their bodies.
But Clark County Animal Control, which recovered the birds, reported that the ducks were attacked and killed by a dog.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife has also joined the investigation.
