MURRAY, Utah (AP) — Dogs and cats will be up for adoption in Utah this weekend as part of an organization's national tour.
The two-day event concludes from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Humane Society of Utah shelter in Murray.
The Humane Society is joining the North Shore Animal League America's 2015 Tour for Life, which is billed as the world's largest national cooperative mobile pet adoption event.
From last month to mid-May, the New York-based organization's four "shelters on wheels" plan to visit 37 cities and 26 states in an effort to raise awareness of local shelters and find homes for adoptable animals including puppies and kittens.
Information on the benefits of adopting shelter pets, obedience training and special services also will be available to pet owners.
