LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas released security camera images of man and a getaway vehicle sought in a second robbery in two months at the Palace Station casino-hotel, and a department spokesman said Thursday that no arrests have been made in either case.
No injuries were reported in a robbery at 1 a.m. Nov. 9 during which police said the robber brandished a handgun and made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the casino-hotel off Sahara Avenue near Interstate 15.
A casino employee was attacked but wasn't seriously hurt in a late Sept. 16 grab-and-run heist at the Palace Station sports betting area.
Station Casinos officials declined comment Thursday on the police investigations.
According to police, the man sought in the Nov. 9 robbery carried a small duffel bag with a shoulder strap and wore a baseball cap.
He was described as being about 5-foot-7 and 200 pounds, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and cargo shorts. Police say security video showed him driving a dark-colored compact car.
The man sought in the Sept. 16 robbery also wore dark clothing and a baseball cap, plus latex gloves. Police later said witnesses reported seeing a gun in his hand.
