SALT LAKE CITY — One person was injured Friday in a three-vehicle crash that caused a rollover on northbound Interstate 15 near Hamilton Fort in Iron County. Troopers from Utah Highway Patrol Section 11 responded to about milepost 53 in a construction zone, where one vehicle rolled over and an occupant was trapped inside, officials said. A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene. UHP said traffic had slowed when a pickup truck failed to slow in time, resulting in a three-way collision. "One vehicle hit the cable barrier and flipped. The driver of that vehicle was transported by helicopter," Lt. Zach Randall of the Utah Highway Patrol said. The driver's condition was not immediately known. Northbound I-15 was closed after the crash. Lt. Allred estimated the freeway would reopen within about 30 minutes.
