SALT LAKE CITY – One person was ejected from a UTA paratransit bus during a crash on State Route 201 Friday. Lane closures were put into place. The crash occurred at 3000 West near mile marker 14, according to Cam Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol. Roden said it appeared 3 vehicles were involved, including a UTA bus. A black sedan was traveling southbound on Interstate 215 to go eastbound on Route 201, "and was coming around the ramp pretty fast, losing control," Roden said. The sedan then hit a UTA paratransit bus, "resulting in one passenger being ejected through a window," Roden said. The person ejected was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Troopers closed all eastbound lanes of Route 201 at the I-215 ramps in Salt Lake City, and at approximately 11:40 a.m. estimated they would be opened within 30 minutes to an hour.
